Cinnamon Cranberry Oatmeal December 14 2015, 0 Comments

Serves 4 


  • 1 cup Cucina Antica Cranberry Sauce
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup steal cut oats
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • Fresh orange zest


Combine water and milk in a medium sauce pan and bring to a simmer. In a separate skillet, melt butter and add steal cut oats. Stir about 2 minutes, allowing the oats to toast. Add the toasted oats to the milk and water and stir gently. Allow to simmer for about 20 minutes, until oatmeal becomes very thick. Stir in salt. Simmer for another 10 minutes until almost all of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and add brown sugar and cinnamon. Spoon into bowls and stir in spoonfulls of Cucina Antica Cranberry Sauce, tasting for desired flavor. Garnish with fresh orange zest.  Add extra milk, sugar, or cinnamon to your preference.
