Pumpkin "Fries"

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 bottle Cucina Antica Organic Tomato Ketchup
  • 1-2 baking pumpkins (sugar, peanut, Jack Be Little, New England are just some options)
  • 2 tbs olive oil 
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tsp chili powder (based on your spice level preference)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • salt and pepper 

PREPARATION:

Peel your pumpkin (in most cases, a potato peeler should do the trick). Cut off the top of the pumpkin and scoop out the seeds and pulp. Cut your pumpkin half and then chop it into desired fry-size pieces. Place olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, cinnamon, salt and pepper (the amount of salt and pepper is up to personal preference, start with less and feel free to add more after baking) in a reseal-able bag and mix slightly. Then add your fries, seal the bag, and shake. Place fries on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until tender.
